These terms apply when you use the MyAnimeDex mobile app and the website myanimedex.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You need an account to use the app. You can sign in with email, Apple or Google. Keep your login details safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to use the app under the rules of the App Store or Google Play in your country.
You can delete your account at any time in the app via Profile > Danger Zone > Delete Account, or by following the steps on our delete account page.
Lists, scores, reviews, comments, your username and avatar are your content. You keep ownership of it. Public lists, reviews and your profile can be seen by other users; you give us permission to store and show that content inside the Service so it works as intended.
Don't post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, spam, or that you don't have the rights to. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Anime titles, posters, descriptions and airing times come from third-party sources (AniList) and belong to their respective owners. We show them to help you track what you watch, but we can't guarantee they are always complete or correct. Airing times can change without notice.
The app is free to download and use. An optional Premium subscription removes ads. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google; prices are shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds follow Apple's or Google's refund policies.
The free version shows ads. On iOS we ask for your permission before ads can use tracking. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
Don't misuse the Service: no attempts to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer it, no access to other users' accounts, and no automated use that we haven't allowed.
The Service is provided "as is". We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or its content.
We may update these terms as the app changes. When we make important changes we will update the date below; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
